Commercial Developments

Forster Square Development Partnership, Broadway, Bradford

The Forster Square Development Partnership was established as a joint venture partnership between Magellan Properties, Caddick Developments and Bradford Council, with the aim of re-developing a key ten acre site situated in the heart of Bradford city centre. Discussions, which began in the 1990s, have come to fruition, with work well underway on the new shopping centre. The new centre, which is being built by Westfield, will position Bradford as a major shopping destination for the region. It is estimated that the centre will create 1,500 construction jobs and 2,500 new retail jobs for Bradford.

The Channel, Bradford

The Channel is a showpiece mixed-use development scheme situated in the heart of Bradford. The concept was conceived in response to the four neighbourhoods highlighted by the Bradford Centre Regeneration Masterplan originally designed by the architect Will Alsop. The prestigious scheme is set around a canal basin, and comprises an exciting mix of stylish new apartments, retail, commercial and leisure facilities as well as expansive areas of public realm and a hotel. Outline planning permission was granted for the development.

J Sainsbury plc, Harrogate

The J Sainsbury store on Wetherby Road, Harrogate was developed in the 1980. The innovative superstore was developed to provide out-of-town retail for local residents. The design of the building was sensitive to the local environment. The façade of the building features traditional stone masonry.

 

Tesco Stores Ltd, Abbeydale Road, Sheffield

The Tesco Store on Abbeydale Road in Sheffield was developed in the late 1990s as a state-of-the-art superstore and refuelling facility for Tesco Stores Limited. Robinson Developments has a long-established history of working in retail and on petrol filling station projects across the UK.
